About the craft and this edition:

Fore-edge painting is a heritage craft that is being kept alive by a few dedicated practitioners, it is a beautiful art-form that I am working hard to continue. I work primarily with second-hand books to give them a new lease of life, as with this Golden Heritage series Austen Collection.

Published by Galley Press in 1988 this Austen Collection was purchased second-hand and features three of Austen’s works : Northanger Abbey, Emma and Persuasion.
